Author's Notes
I didn't have much of a plot figured out for this one. I mostly wanted to
work with the setting, which is my native territory in Eastern Washington.
Spring Creek runs through what was until recently my family's homestead. (My
Grandad sold it last year.)
I had some notion that the action would lead up to the human underground
capturing the old ComSat ground station between Brewster and Okanogan and
using it to signal... somebody. (I think that "Kurt" was going
to be part of the underground as well, but I don't recall.)
