I'd been thinking about this one for some time. The front of La Casa isn't too attractive, and I though this might help make it look more "finished."
Also, last week I noticed that the U.S. flag was upside down. Now, while it's entirely possible that I made a mistake because I was in a hurry to get to work, it's also possible that someone was messin' with me. The new fence should tend to discourage that.
If you've looked at the other "Casa" pages, you might be surprised to learn that I didn't handcraft the picket fence, but it's true: I didn't figure it was worth the trouble when I could buy prefab sections for about the same price as I would've paid for materials.
You might be reassured in your faith that I'd never make something easy if I told you that, instead of just popping the posts in the ground and nailing the fence sections to them, I fired up the router and cut seats for them, with the center section (eight feet wide) being removable in case I need to get a vehicle into the front yard for some reason.
