My Mom gave me a Scottish flag for Christmas one year, and I decided that the proper thing was to fly it with pride. Naturally that mean a flagpole, and a U.S. flag to go with it.

Not wanting to just have a pipe sticking out of the ground, I got me a whiskey barrel and drilled a hole in the bottom. The plants are Scotch heather and some little flowers in red, white, and blue, to carry on the theme... .
