3:00 am: Phoned the folks.

Walkabout: Lothian road; Lady Lawson street; Morrison street (bought a city map and a B&B listing book); Dalry road; West End (American Express, vendor's offices in Alva street; Saint Mary's Cathedral; lunch in the Grosvenor Hotel lounge.

Contacted vendor and wrote up notes for the meeting; Dinner at the Dunedin Restaurant (Stakis Grosvenor restaurant.)

Met with Myra & Steve in vendor's offices, 9:00 - 4:30. Worked out 'most everything but how to communicate updates to documentation sources. Morning break was "cakes" -- donuts and such; lunch in -- sandwiches. Took me 20 minutes to get Dtext going: dumb-thumbed it and forgot ebtcom.reg. Steve thought Dweb was "brilliant!"

Had dinner with Myra & Steve at The Indian Calvary Club: Excellent meal!

Wandered around Edinburgh: Still lost most of the time.

Lunch at the Rose Street Brewery. Mailed postcards; looked through Jenner's; got one roll of film printed.

Finally got smart and rode the Lothian Classic Tour bus 2/3 the way 'round its circuit to get a better idea of what's where.

Late dinner in Grosvenor Club lounge.

Walked through to the Grassmarket. Checked bookshops; lunch at Bobby's Pub; found Crofting Years and chanter reeds. Had a pint at the Beehive Pub while waiting for the Lothian Classic Tours bus again. Visited the castle; took the Whisky Heritage Museum tour; got two rolls of film printed; checked Avis and Hertz -- no cars available!! Reserved a Rover with Mitchell's Self-Drive.

Dinner at Dunedin Restaurant again: £18.50 for a buffet, paper napkins, and an uppity attitude. This is a four-star hotel?

BBC-2 played "Highlander III" tonight. Coincidence?

Checked out, picked up the Rover 200: Off to Stirling!

Edinburgh Castle from Castle Street
Princes Street Gardens (this is what Edinburghers do when the sun shines at lunchtime)
The rectory(?) at St. Mary's Cathedral
