MOPAR Mania

1970 Plymouth Satellite
Engine: 318 ci V8
Transmission: A-904 3-speed automatic
The Plymouth, or "The Little Car" as he was wont to call it, was given to me by my grandfather in 1986. It had been my grandmother's daily driver on a round-trip commute of 30 miles since it was new.

"Old Reliable" is now my fallback vehicle when I have trouble with the others: It can sit for six months without attention, then start right up and go. It's currently showing 280,000 miles on the clock and has never been rebuilt. Truly a testament to the design of the Chrysler LA-series engine!

She's starting to feel her age though, with primer showing through the paint, torn upholstery, sagging springs, and some rust in the rear quarters.

She's on the list to be restored after I learn how to take a 318 apart and put it back together. She's still my favorite, and I never plan to part with her!
